As Marketing Director of EFG Anthony was responsible for advising and introducing all new investors seeking forestry investment, for the largest private forestry management company in the UK. After EFG was acquired by Tilhill, Anthony took a Masters Degree in Business Administration and taking financial advisory examinations set up his own business in 1993.
From 1997 – 2007 Anthony combined FIC with investment banking as Managing Director of Close Property Investment, a subsidiary of the Close Brothers Group Plc.
Are routinely engaged to assist in support of acquisitions and management. They are senior ex-directors of EFG, and ex-colleagues of Anthony each with around 40 years of forestry investment experience and familiar with all the major firms of agents and managers.
Support Office in Dorset
Undertakes all management and administration. For each property a constant record is kept of management activity comparing costs with agreed budgets. Invoices are settled and cash banked, cash books and records are maintained, and quarterly VAT accounts submitted. Owners are regularly briefed and supplied with accounts.
FIC Experience
- Advised on circa 100 private client acquisitions extending to over 25,000 acres
- Fund manager for Close Investment Forestry Funds raising circa £8 million 2003-2008
(until Anthony left Close Brothers employment) - Fund manager for Stellar Asset Management Forestry Fund 2009 which has raised circa £3 million to date.
