Lowland Commercial Woodland

Less than 40 miles from Central London, 150 acres of lowland commercial woodland. Purchased in 1998 for £300,000, this family-owned woodland has been a source of personal enjoyment and regular income for the past 20 years. The wood was purchased, comprising a mixture of Scots Pine, Larch and Douglas Fir, interspersed with Sweet Chestnut Coppice and occasional broadleaf compartments.

The property passed down a generation in 2017 with no inheritance tax liabilities, at which point it was valued at over £900,000.

The mature crops are now being gradually felled and replanted. The first phase of this was undertaken in 2019, with an income of over £100,000. Further harvesting is planned for 5 years time.
